Rays vs. Sox takes top spot, Manny and the NLCS not far behind

Over the weekend the most popular topic was the ALCS between the Boston Red Sox and Tampa Bay Rays, with many hoping the Rays keep their historical playoff run going. Close behind was the NLCS between the L.A. Dodgers and Philadelphia Phillies with a lot of the conversation centering on Dodgers LF Manny Ramirez. College football was also highly discussed, especially the much anticipated match-ups of Oklahoma vs. Texas and LSU vs. Florida. NFL discussion was popular after the Atlanta Falcons’ win over the Chicago Bears, back-up Detroit QB Dan Orlovsky’s end zone mistake that led to a safety, and the Dallas Cowboys losing to the Arizona Cardinals. Rounding out the Top 5 was discussion about Republican Vice Presidential candidate Sarah Palin’s appearance at a Philadelphia Flyers game for a ceremonial first puck drop where she was greeted with boos from the crowd. Most bloggers thought the mix of politics with sports was a poor decision by the Flyers organization.
