Over the past 24 hours, last night’s basketball game between two storied programs, UNC and Kentucky, was the most popular topic with many not surprised by No.1-ranked UNC’s big win. Davidson PG Stephen Curry was also highly discussed after he scored 44 points in Davidson’s loss to Oklahoma. Bloggers reacted strongly to comments from Michigan head football coach Rich Rodriguez: “It’s amazing some of the things that people would say [on a message board] or yell at you of a personal nature. You almost want to tell them, ‘Get a life.’ … There’s a whole lot bigger problems. Look at the economy.” Bloggers praised the decision by Texas to announce defensive coordinator Will Muschamp as the eventual successor to current head coach Mack Brown. Rounding out the Top 5 was debate over whether the New York Yankees were making wise financial decisions in their reported large offers to pitchers CC Sabathia and A.J. Burnett.
